Chair of Academy Committee

If so, you may be interested in the exciting opportunity that has arisen for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Chair of our Academy Committee. This is an exciting time to join the team at Claydon as we begin a new chapter in 2025 with the creation of our Claydon Campus. The campus encompasses both Claydon High School and Claydon Primary School, and forms part of Penrose Learning Trust, comprising of schools in both Suffolk and Essex. 

You will work with a very experienced, skilled and established Academy Committee alongside the Executive Headteacher, Head of School (Primary) and the senior leadership teams.

You will require strong organisational and communication skills as well as the strategic vision to ensure that the Executive Headteacher and senior leadership team are delivering on the school improvement plan whilst at the same time providing a rounded and challenging curriculum for the students across both schools.

As our new Chair, you will be able to operate strategically and to work effectively with the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive in helping to influence and shape the strategic vision of the Trust.  This role offers a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to make a real difference to the future of our students.
