‘BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE’
“Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world.” (Louis Pasteur)
If you want to illuminate our learners and to lead them to success now and in the future, then come and join our Science Faculty.
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to teach Science across the age and ability range; ideally, we are looking to recruit a specialist in either Physics or Chemistry. The successful candidate will be passionate about Science and committed to motivating students to reach their full potential. Science is a popular and highly successful subject at Claydon High School and the appointed candidate will be joining a well led and supportive department.
The post would be suitable for a new entrant to the profession or a colleague seeking to broaden their experience. Claydon High School provides an excellent support programme for newly appointed staff. Visitors and prospective colleagues often comment on the warm welcome they receive here and as a staff we work collaboratively together and support one another.
Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex. We are a small school with 776 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school. As part of the Penrose Learning Trust we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve “excellence through collaboration”.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Closing date: Midday Wednesday 6th December 2023
Interview date: W/c 11th December 2023
We reserve the right to close the advert sooner, should a suitable number of applications be received before the closing date.
Penrose Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to provide references, undergo employment checks and an enhanced disclosure via the DBS.
